Dr. Richard E. Quint
Dr. Richard Quint grew up in Alexandria, Virginia just outside Washington, DC. He earned a BS degree in Zoology at the University of Maryland College Park Campus and attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio.
Upon completion of residency training in foot and ankle surgery at the Community Hospital of Phoenix, Dr. Quint entered private practice in Tucson, Arizona. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and has served as President of the Arizona Podiatric Medical Association. He holds a license to practice podiatric medicine and surgery both in Arizona and in Ontario Provence, Canada.
Currently, Dr. Quint is section head of Podiatric Surgery in the Department of Surgery at St. Mary's Hospital and has served in that capacity at Northwest and Tucson General Hospitals, as well as Holy Cross Hospital in Nogales, Arizona. He has received special training in complex wound care while working at the St Mary's Hospital Wound Care Center and is proud to be a member of the Tucson Medical Center Limb Salvage Team.
The staff at Arizona Foot Specialists, LTD has graciously supported Dr. Quint's efforts in training medical assistants, nurses, podiatrists and other physicians in the art and science of podiatric medicine and surgery. This includes preparing lectures and workshops that he has given at both national and international continuing medical educational conferences. Dr. Quint specializes in reconstructive foot surgery and care of the diabetic foot and sees both pediatric and adult patients in his private practice.
Giving back to the community has always been important to Dr Quint and he has been recognized for having served as the first chairman of the Diabetes Walkathon Fundraiser for the Arizona Chapter of the American Diabetes Association. On a personal note, Dr. Quint enjoys raising 2 teenagers as well as scuba diving, biking and playing drums in a jazz group known at Quintessence Smooth Jazz.
